What’s in Store for 2024?

After a fun and change-filled year in 2023, I am again looking forward to an interesting and, hopefully, fun 2024.

Unlike last year, I am inclined to do fewer cycling adventures.  Partly due to my PTSD-like approach to the two wheelers after multiple falls, the real reason is wanting to remake my life that had been directed and led by a failed relationship.  Done with her, I am ready to try hiking and exploring.  And maybe a relocation.

Let’s start at the top and in no particular order, what might be on The List of Things to Be Done in 2024:

  • The Camino
  • Grand Canyon, rim to rim (R2R)
  • Tour de Scottsdale
  • Tour de Fuzz
  • El Tour de Tucson

That’s a list that is do-able and a nice mix of bikes and hikes.  In between will be trips to Sabino Canyon, Mt Lemmon, Organ Pipe and Piestewa Peak. Time to take on the desert and the west coast.

Watch this space for updates and reports.  Like 2023 when The Fall in March took me out of the STP rally but reinforced the trip to the San Juans.  And, ultimately, led me to reevaluate the bike and look at my hiking shoes.

Bring on 2024.

Relentless
