Tour de Zona is a series of rides through a county I spent my early years. Iconic names: Bisbee, Tombstone, Fort Huachuca.
I missed this ride last year because of illness so I wasn’t about to be absent again. While I am a solo act and not representing any club, I am really looking forward to this three-day series of events. I’ll be camping and hanging out in town each night like I did with RAGBRAI last year in Iowa.
The ride is made up of consecutive days of rides (March 23-26) from Sierra Vista, Arizona out and back to Tombstone, Bisbee and one other local destination. The climbing in the Mule Mountains is a bit off-putting, but I am sure I’ll be up to it.
Besides, if the Florida Keys girls can do this ride, I can.
