Ok, veteran and not-so-veteran networkers: if someone came up to you or called you out in a crowded room, could you respond to these questions? All must be brief, to-the-point and short (no more than 45-second) responses:
- Give your short introductory speech.
- Tell what you are passionate about.
- Give an example of someone you want to or need to meet.
- Tell about your last volunteer activity.
- Talk about an event you went to recently.
- Introduce the person next to you to the group.
- Show us your business card.
- Tell how you will follow up after the event you are attending.
How well would you do? How spontaneous are you? Have you rehearsed the things on this list that you can? How well do you know yourself?
