It is an age-old paradigm. New methods of connecting can surface, but why people do business with others doesn’t seem to change.
People do business with others that they know, like and trust.
Knowing someone takes time. Over time, you get know what they mean when they say certain things, how they act in certain situations, who they know and trust and what they will do in a given situation. Knowing someone takes part of the unknown away.
Liking someone helps solve more of the mystery. Again, over time you learn to care for another individual and enjoy their company because of you like and know similar things. If someone thinks as you do, you are more apt to trust them.
Trust probably takes the most time. As in all relationships, trust is the key to a long-term bond and for multiple interactions.
Putting the three criteria together means you have a stronger bond than if you had none or only one or two fo the elements.
As with all things networking, patience and persistence is at the heart of it all.
Relentless
