What to Look for In an Exhibit Partner

In choosing an exhibit company to be your strategic 3D marketing collaborator, you need to look for and feel comfortable with these three elements:

  • Business competence
  • Design and fabrication capability
  • Chemistry and compatibility

While the weighting will be different for each trade show manager and/or marketing manager, this really is the three-legged stool of the decision process.

Business competence includes ability to estimate projects and bill you in a clear and easily explainable way. Are they customer focused? Are they healthy financially? Do you understand their billing practices? Are they accountable for their actions?

While this is more than a beauty contest, being able to interpret your requirements into definable and realistic spaces is critical to execution.

Chemistry and compatibility is also critical.  You are hiring these people to do more than build and move a booth.  This is like a marriage in that it is so much more than just one aspect of the relationship: it has many components.  And, like marriage, before you can love someone you ahve to like them.  And trust them.

Choose wisely.  Use equal parts quantifiable scoring, qualifiable measurement and gut feel.
