After that hard mile to the Lopez ferry, we took the good ship Sealth to Friday Harbor. Our mission is to retrieve Jody’s gear at Meat Machines and then catch the next ferry to Anacortes.
In between times met and talked with Zev, a Canadian living in Scotland here to do a documentary video on the islands’ culture.
Made it to Friday Harbor and Meat Machines to pick up Jody’s shed gear. Cool shop with cool people.
Found food and post cards. Long wait for the ferry but better than rolling up at the last minute. Stops at Orcas, Shaw and Lopez before back to Anacortes.
Shannon picked us up and loaded up our gear. We drove with the windows down as we were a bit ripe. The shower felt great.
Oyster shooters from one bar as takeout to the brewery where the dogs are welcome. Salmon tacos!
Rest tonight before hitting the road east tomorrow. This was one fabulous trip.
