To kick the new year off, here are three principles to guide you through your networking world:
- Motivation
- Attitude
- Energy
First and foremost you need to be motivated. Dig down deep or kick-start yourself–you need to have the inner drive and confidence to start the journey. Set the course.
Attitude is next. Be in the right frame of mind to do what needs to be done. Don’t be a know-it-all or an authoritarian figure, but be in the frame o mind that allows you to communicate. Be positive, stand tall, listen and be clear. And above all, make eye contact. Be the moment.
Have energy. Yes, you’ve heard it here before–power up before you go out into the world. Like an engine connecting to other rail cars–have the energy to make the connection and take or go with the conversation. Action, action, action!
Motivation, attitude and energy make the networking scene work better and make you more productive. Now, go out there and conquer something!
