While not always the best place to look for sage advice, I’ve found that the comments below an on-line story sometimes contain some nuggets.
This morning, after reading a story about our “Powerball Economy,” down below the story was a comment from a fellow reader. He came up with these simple rules for success:
- Work hard
- Be upbeat
- Don’t be late
- Be a go getter
- Establish “great” relationships with your co-workers
- Share your ideas
- Have fun but get the job done
- Leave nonconstructive negativity to others
Do these things and you’ll do just fine at work AND in life.
Not bad advice from a random comment (thanks, Kevins432). I especially like #5, but #8 is incredibly important in this day and age.
So, what’s your recipe for success?
