While I think of this as a Tucson restaurant, it really has its roots in Bisbee–the town of Warren, or so a friend says. As I usually frequent the Wilmot location in Tucson a number of times, it wasn’t until recently I learned some new facts about The Bisbee Breakfast Club. First, they have at least seven locations throughout the state.
And then there are the murals.
On my most recent visit I was exposed to the inside of the restaurant and the murals and artwork on the walls. Usually I am in the outdoor seating area as Sally is my companion. On this day she was at the groomer, so I headed over to BBC for coffee and a snack while I waited.
What I found as I entered was walls that were canvasses of art. Art depicting the town of their origin–Bisbee. And also a series of pen-and-ink framed pieces ringed the room on walls not featuring murals.
My favorite was the Mule Pass Tunnel art. Reminded me of my Mule Mountain Christian Youth Camp days.
On the brick walls near the restrooms were a series of chalk-line sketches. One depicted an “escape route.”
Besides a fun sense of humor, the wait staff was kind and made clear recommendations. The menu, for the coffee to the breakfast items were delicious and none are to be avoided.
I’ll be back.
Relentless
