Another walk with good company. Sarah and the team from Beyond manage and present a solid hiking program. This first-of-the-year hike was no exception.
Set in the Tucson Mountains west of downtown, the hike starts and finishes at Felix Paseos Park near Gates Pass. A short 20-minute drive from my midtown home, it was an ideal start at 10am on this January morning. Temps in the 50s so only a few layers were required.
The group leaders call this a Level 1 (easier that Levels 2 and 3) and it was true. Paved for the first few hundred hards, the mostly level trail is dirt and gravel, but clearly marked and flat (not a lot of elevation over the mile-and-a-half walk.
I could’ve brought Sal, but wanted to see it first.
More hikes this month with this group as they commemorate their founding month.
Relentless
