A “bonus leftover” thing. Each reminds me of a person or situation. Most bring a smile to my face and a happy thought.
Another story. Another connection.
In the liquor store today and reminded of a visit a few years back to this distillery. My companion and I had gone north to go to a brewfest but got there too late to get in on the events of the day. We walked a few blocks over and into this nearly empty tasting room. We were treated like royalty! Sipping their wares and sampling mixed drinks (of which she really hadn’t often tasted).
It was a happy accident of an afternoon. I’ll never forget her smile.
We all have those moments. And memories.
I’ll be sure and toast her with my next pour.
