RAGBRAI Day 6: The Last Overnight

(This post is a day late because when you put 25,000 guests into towns with populations of 900 to 4000 the cell service can’t keep up!)
Charles City To West Union.  Sixty-three-plus miles.  On the road by 6:15 am and into the last overnight town at about 3:30 pm.  A bit slower as we stopped for more beer and ice cream, breakfast, brisket and a popcicle.
Iowans are such kind and welcoming people (like Otis the dog here). How can you turn down a kid with a popcicle?
Music on the road by the Beatles, Stones, Zeppelin and Patty Loveless. Not really sure I heard that last one coming out of someone else’s speaker so I had to speed up to make sure I was hearing right!
And dinner on the lawn of the courthouse.
PS: I will never view the scene of characters entering and exiting through the corn field in “Field of Dreams” the same way again!
Relentless
