So you think a brochure is just a printed piece that you leave off for people to read or throw away?
Wrong–what did it take to create that package?
Recently, my client, Greg Farmer of Farmer Business Systems, reminded me just what creating his company brochure meant to him.
“If you haven’t really created your company brochure, every company needs to go through this exercise,” Greg told an audience at a North Dallas Chamber of Commerce gathering recently. “I was able to craft my mission, consider the whole of my offering and even solidify what colors and typeface portrayed my company best,” Greg added.
These statements really say just what brand is. Greg refined his mission and direction byt having to actually craft and choose the words that described his company. It is this kind of self examination that helps define and direct a company. And, in this case, its leadership.
“It’s one thing to live you business each day,” Greg continued. “But to step back and view your company as if you were a customer, that is quite another. We learned a lot about how we do business and how important our customers are to us.”
Thanks, Greg, for reinforcing that running a successful company is a dynamic process and not static at all.
