Remember Who You Are

We spend a lot of time in conversations and in electronic communications.  Sometimes we lose the thread of who were are and our ideals.

Have confidence and be positive. Be your brand with no apologies.

This came up after seeing the movie “The Help.” A repetitive theme and scene in the story is when the leading character maid tells the young child she cares for, “You are kind, you are smart and you are important.”

Yes, we are all those things and we need to remind ourselves of those facts.

When it comes to personal brand, we do need to be aware of ourselves before we can project who we want to be known or seen as to the outside world.

But, more importantly, as the characters in the story depict, we need to live these ideas, not just package or spin a cover.  Being genuine is far more important to the world and society.

Be you. Be kind. Be smart. And you will be important.

Relentless
